The sponsor provides opportunities for under-represented minority students to obtain M.S. degrees in engineering and Ph.D. degrees in engineering and the natural and physical sciences through a program of paid summer internships and graduate financial assistance.
This event is supported by the National Science Foundation/Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP) and is designed to increase the number of underrepresented minorities our in Ph.D. programs in engineering and computer science. The Graduate School Preview Day will provide scholars with a broader understanding of the opportunities available through a graduate education in engineering at UC Santa Barbara; the agenda will include application and funding workshops, facilities tours, graduate student panels and significant interaction with UC Santa Barbara faculty and researchers from different engineering research areas.
