Workshop Mentor/Tutor

The SDSU Center for the Advancement of Students in Academia (CASA) in the College of Sciences (COS) would like to invite COS students who are in good academic standing and have earned an “A” or “B” in one or more of your science classes to become involved in one of the following community service activities.

Please read the following announcement, and if interested, return the enclosed application via mail or fax to 619-594-3590. You will be contacted if selected for an interview. Be sure to indicate on your application which of the four programs listed below you want to be considered for. We will begin conducting interviews as soon as applications start arriving. Phone interviews can be scheduled, but are not preferred. Since SDSU classes begin Monday, August 31, 2009 we are hoping to all the positions filled by Friday, September 11, 2009.

Applicants must be responsible, mature, committed and have the ability to adjust to a variety of situations. Applicants must also have good time management and communication skills (verbal as well as written). Previous workshop or tutoring experience is helpful but not required. As stated above an application is enclosed. Applications are also available at GMCS 321.
