The California Department of Transportation’s Disability Advisory Committee (DAC) and the California Transportation Foundation are offering a $500 scholarship to an eligible student who has a permanent disability as defined by the Fair Employment Housing Administration (FEHA). The DAC is committed to promoting public awareness of the disabled and encourages the pursuit of higher education in various transportation studies.

A panel of representatives from the DAC will review submitted applications and
determine the recipient based on eligibility factors and the application package. The requirements for the Caltrans District 11 Disability Advisory Committee Scholarship are:

●Must be a US citizen or legal resident of the State of California.
●Has a permanent disability per FEHA (Fair Employment Housing Administration)
criteria.
●Minimum GPA of 2.0.
●For a student in a transportation related field of study, i.e., engineering/surveying,
planning, drafting, computer science, business administration, landscaping, etc.
●Currently enrolled as a full time student.
