NEES Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU)

In its seventh year serving over 100 undergraduate students, the NEES Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program is now accepting applications for 2013.  This legacy program involves the use of 6-8 of the 14 NEES equipment sites nationwide.  Students participate in 9 weeks of research, working alongside NEES researchers while building connections with mentors and a national network of interns.  We are fortunate to have many REU students report back that their experience, most times a first in research, helped shape their decision to pursue graduate degrees.  It is our hope that the next 20-30 students chosen for the 2013 REU program will have the same experience and look forward to working with them.

Apply now!  To learn more about the program and the application process, visit this link.  The deadline for application submissions is February 28, 2013 at 8:00 AM PDT.  Feel free to post this announcement in classrooms and labs, or forward it to any students who may be interested.
