Date: Thursday, 02/14/13 11:30 AM – 01:00 PM
Description:

Energy Efficient HVAC systems

This session will provide an overview of the process for analyzing, designing and operating a system that facilitate net zero energy HVAC systems including; Indirect-Evaporative air conditioning, an Indirect-Evaporative Hybrid HVAC System, an Adsorption Chiller™ powered with hot water from Solar-Thermal Collectors or a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) system. Discussion will include energy and cost savings from these systems in various California climate zones. In addition, costs and benefits of Displacement Cooling and Thermal Energy Storage in a 50,000 SF commercial building will be reviewed.

Seminar Highlights:

    • Learn about systems that facilitate newt zero energy HVAC systems

    • Hear about energy, and benefits

Speaker: Daniel Hendrickson, President, Libre Energy, Inc.

Daniel Hendrickson is a Mechanical and Energy Engineer, System Designer and Integrator of systems for net zero energy buildings including: indirect-evaporative air conditioning, solar-thermal powered chillers, waste-to-energy combined heat and power (CHP) plants as well as water and wastewater treatment systems. Captain Hendrickson served in the Navy for 31 years as a SEAL, Surface Warfare Officer and a Material Professional. He served in Vietnam as a SEAL and SEAL Team Commanding Officer and also served in five research and development, shipbuilding and facilities design and construction assignments over 13 years.
