IT Engineer (Audio/Visual systems) – Bay area, CA General Summary This Corporate ITAVS Engineer encompasses Tier 1AV Systems engineer knowledge and carries the job duties responsible for providing Tier 1 AV production support. This engineer will provide direction for QUALCOMM’s executive meeting support and event support. Job requirements: Possess Tier 1AV Systems engineering, operations support and production Tier 1 audio/visual production support. Must be able to operate professional in-room Av systems and production equipment and understand all aspects of audio, video, lighting, acoustics, live event support and AV systems operations. BSCS degree or equivalent experience required. 2-3 years field experience in the AV industry troubleshooting and repairing audio/visual systems.

Responsibilities include identifying project objectives, defining scope and requirements, creating project plan, managing resources, measuring progress, and making course corrections to bring the project in on time. The engineer will be part of the Corporate IT division working with and providing technical support to IT, Engineering and Application teams. 2 years experience deploying and administering system, application or network monitoring tools.Strong scripting skills(PERL preferred) experience in creating custom solutions. Ability to quickly learn custom logic, designs, architecture, and implementations. Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with analyzing logs, stack traces, error-messages, and system resources.
