Skip’s Tips – Advanced Solar Thermal Workshop – Tuesday, June 25

This evening will focus on pool solar water heating systems.  In light of upcoming changes to the CSI-Thermal program to provide rebates forcommercial/multifamily solar pool systems, it’s a good time to review the technology and design options.  Skip will show results of FCHART computer simulations with various collector/cover options, discuss traditional pumping options in light of Time of Use rate impacts, and discuss issues when combining pool solar heat with domestic hot water and/or space heat into combisystems.  This information will be in the vein of best practices.  This workshop will not cover CSI-Thermal requirements or the rebates.

This installment of Skip’s Tips is for an advance audience level.

PLEASE NOTE:  This event will be held at CCSE’s new location at:

9325 Sky Park Court, Suite 100
San Diego, CA 92123

Skip Fralick, has over 30 years of experience in the Solar Thermal industry, and is currently the Solar Water Heating Energy Engineer at CCSE. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional, an AEE Certified Energy Manager, and a BPI Professional.

Skip’s passion is Solar Thermal, so if you have technical questions about this technology, come to CCSE for an informal chat with Skip and other industry stakeholders.

**Please note that this an advanced workshop intended for people with experience in Solar Thermal. If you are interested in basic Solar Thermal information, please attend the “Solar Water Basics for Homeowners” workshop at www.energycenter.org/calendar.
