CENTC 2009 Undergraduate Summer Research in Chemistry
Fellowships available for motivated undergraduates to conduct research in one of 16 research labs across the US and Canada. Programs are 8-10 weeks long with flexible starting dates. Awards include competitive stipend plus compensation for travel and housing. Columbia University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Summer Research Program

Mathematics REU program in western Michigan
Grand Valley State University, in western Michigan, invites interested undergraduates to apply for NSF REU summer research fellowships in mathematics. Financial support includes a research stipend of $3400, housing in on-campus air-conditioned rooms, and a generous food allowance. Current areas of research among faculty mentors include combinatorics, the mathematics of Sudoku, separable preferences in referendum elections, and applications of wavelets. Paid Undergraduate Internships in Oregon, Center for Coastal Margin Observation and Prediction
CMOP studies the physical, chemical and biological processes of river-to-ocean ecosystems, utilizing an innovative, interdisciplinary approach that yields cutting-edge data, transforming the ocean sciences community. CMOP considers applications from students majoring in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics and others. Interns work for ten weeks over the summer, from mid-June through mid-August and receive a stipend of $4,600. Out-of-state students may also receive housing stipends.

Summer Institute for Training in Biostatistics
This National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute sponsored program, gives undergraduate students in the quantitative sciences the opportunity to explore a career in biostatistics emphasizing applications in both basic and clinical research. Students will learn how to develop methods for experimental design and analyze the resulting data.
