The scholarships range from $2,500 to $5,000 and are for the 2009-2010 academic year. Eligibility for the program is as follows:
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Be of Hispanic heritage or descent
U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident
Be enrolled full time at SDSU as an undergraduate student in the 2009-2010 year
Must apply for financial aid using the FAFSA
Be in any engineering discipline
Students may apply online at http://www.hsf.net/Scholarships.aspx?id=796, and the deadline to submit applications is July 15th.
Students must also submit an official transcript and a copy of their Student Aid Report. When sending in documents, make sure to address them “Attn: Verizon”
