UC EDGE Graduate Recruitment Day 2010

UC EDGE: Graduate Recruitment Day 2010

Friday, March 5, 2010
8:30 a.m. – 4:30 pm
UCLA – Covell Commons

Now in its eighth year, UC Edge: Graduate Recruitment Day 2010 is an all-day event for underrepresented undergraduates who are sophomores and juniors engaged in a faculty-mentored research program, as well as master’s students. Faculty, graduate students and staff from all ten University of California campuses come to UCLA to meet with interested students of all disciplines about graduate opportunities at the University of California.
The panels and workshops provide students with the pertinent information and academic guidance — road maps — to refine their admissions portfolio: application to graduate school, statement of purpose, funding opportunities and networking skills.

Students: Are you a first generation and/or underrepresented college student participating in an undergraduate research or fellowship program (i.e., CEA-CREST, MBRS-RISE, BRIDGES, MARC and McNair) and thinking about applying to one of the UC campuses for graduate studies? Are you completing a master’s degree and are now considering a Ph.D.?

REGISTRATION: $35 per participant (students, program directors, faculty, deans, staff)

SPONSORSHIP: $250 per UC Graduate Division

Sponsorship fee includes conference registration for two (2) representatives to table at the UC resource fair.
$25 fee for each additional representative.
