Science & Engineering majors who are interested in doing research abroad during Summer 2011 should consider the Research Internships in Science and Engineering (RISE) Program in Germany.
RISE participants have the opportunity to work on cutting edge research projects at top research institutions (e.g., Max-Planck-Institutes) and universities in Germany.
Students are paired with German PhD students in a unique mentoring partnership to ensure immediate integration into hands on lab work and built-in social network with an excellent opportunity to develop new technical skills.
As a fellowship program, RISE covers many of the program costs in Germany, so it is very affordable. We have had two Honors students participate in the RISE program and they rave about their experiences.
The RISE application site and database of research positions will be open from now until January 16th.
