The California Space Grant was awarded $10,000 by NASA Exploration Systems Mission Directorate (ESMD) for two internship positions at Boeing Space Exploration in Houston, Texas this summer. Here are the details:
–Applications Due 5/15/11
–Internship Funding $5,000 per student (at least two students to be selected; we are working with Boeing to see if they can provide funding for additional students)
–Must be a U.S. Citizen
–Minimum 3.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
–Internship length: 10 weeks (approximate dates are 6/13/11 through 8/19/11)
Tasks are software related but we anticipate additional NASA engineering and space related tasks will be available, including avionics, commercial crew, payloads, reliability and mission assurance.
