Summarize Role Description:

The Oncology Research Unit is seeking a student assistant to join their drug discovery team. The candidate will be involved in the performance of routine in vitro assays (ELISA, Western blots, etcŠ) as well as supporting in vivo studies under direction and supervision of a scientist. In addition he/she will be making buffers, reagent solutions, conducting cell/tissue culture, checking inventory and ordering and stocking lab supplies.

Requirements:

The candidate must have strong research ethic, be self motivated and goal oriented to work on a team. Good communication and organizational skills are essential. Previous laboratory experience and general knowledge of sterilization are recommended. Knowledge of tissue culture techniques and previous experience with in vivo work is a plus. The candidate must have at least one year experience in biology-related field.

Part-time work for up to a total of 2080hrs
