DIANA GOMEZ

Diana Gomez, former MEP Alum from CSU Fresno, has just been appointed the Central Valley Regional Director for the California High-Speed Rail Authority.  She has 23 years experience with Caltrans where she held various positions such as Senior Transportation Electrical Engineer, Chief of the Office of TMC, Chief of Office Management Operations and most recently Deputy District Director of Operations in District 7 overseeing the most congested State Highway in California and overseeing 380+ staff.

She has been recognized as one of the 100 Most Influential Hispanics by Hispanic Business and one of the top 100 Hispanics in the technical field by Hispanic Engineer.

She graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from CSU Fresno and has been a Registered Electrical Engineer since 1997 and obtained her PMP in 2005.  She is a past National President of the Society Hispanic Engineers (SHPE) and is currently the Chair of the SHPE National Foundation.
