COINS UNDERGRADUATE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
June 23 – August 15, 2008
Over the course of the COINS eight-week summer internship program, a select group of undergraduate students, drawn from schools throughout the US, joins the COINS research effort at UC Berkeley. In addition to intensive, hands-on work in a COINS lab, students are exposed to a range of cutting-edge ideas and advances in nanoscience at weekly seminars, get inside tips on the graduate school application process, are coached in the preparation of a research paper and poster, and present their research project in a juried poster session. The internship offers a $4000 stipend, campus housing and a full meal plan. Underrepresented students are encouraged to apply. The application deadline is April 4.
