Skip’s Tips – Advanced Solar Thermal Workshop

Today’s workshop will be an overview of solar thermal collector types and uses.  Selecting the appropriate type of collector is critical for best system performance and reliability.  We will cover unglazed, flat plate (serpentine and harp), evacuated tube, concentrator, and hybrid PV/thermal collectors.

This edition of Skip’s Tips is for a general audience level.

PLEASE NOTE:  This event will be held at the Energy Innovation Center.

Skip Fralick, has over 30 years of experience in the Solar Thermal industry, and is currently the Solar Water Heating Energy Engineer at CCSE. He also sits on numerous technical committees at Solar Rating and Certification Corporation (SRCC), and is a LEED Accredited Professional and an AEE Certified Energy Manager.

Skip’s passion is Solar Thermal, so if you have technical questions about this technology, come to CCSE for an informal chat with Skip and other industry stakeholders.

**Please note that this an advanced workshop intended for people with some experience in Solar Thermal. If you are interested in basic Solar Thermal information, please attend the “Solar Water Heating Basics for Homeowners” workshop at www.energycenter.org/calendar.
