Technical Support Associate Developer

Responsibilities
The Technical Support Associate Developer will be responsible for managing and resolving the most challenging issues for the ServiceNow Technical Support team focusing on Integrations and Interfaces. This includes being the last point of escalation within the technical support department and mentoring junior team members in the various technologies. The successful candidate will be able to quickly gain an understanding of the ServiceNow platform. This is a customer-facing role and therefore it requires strong inter-personal skills in addition to strong technical skills.
Required Skills
•Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot difficult technical issues
•Must have experience installing, implementing, or maintaining one (or more) of the following:
oLDAP/AD
oSSO (e.g. SAML, SiteMinder)
oEmail Infrastructure
oWeb Services (consuming or providing) (SOAP, REST)
oData Extraction Technologies (e.g. JDBC, ODBC)
oAny bi-directional, automated integration between two systems
•Working knowledge of the components in a web applications stack
•Experience writing or debugging OO code (Java preferred, other relevant technologies ok)
•Experience in one (or more) scripting languages:
oJavaScript, Python, Perl, Unix Shell, Windows Shell)
•Experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
•Experience administering: Linux/Unix OR Microsoft Server
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate solutions to complex technical problems
•Ability to work in a team environment
Preferred Skills
•A fundamental understanding of ITSM, ITIL, or CMDB
•Advanced Unix/Linux experience
•Experience diagnosing performance degradation
•TCP/IP, Networking knowledge

The ideal candidate is a college graduate or has 5 years of relevant experience.
