Today’s workshop will focus on large system design.  These systems can be for multifamily buildings, schools, laundromats, or military facilities for example.  We will discuss multiple large system applications and will address how to evaluate a site in terms of loads, distribution and solar access, the economies of scale and tax benefits, how to select components (collectors, storage, heat exchangers, pumps, etc.), and how to simulate these systems using  programs like FChart and TRNSYS.

Skip Fralick, has over 30 years of experience in the Solar Thermal industry, and is currently the Solar Water Heating Energy Engineer at CCSE.
