The Health Care Communicators (HCC) of San Diego, in conjunction with AMN Healthcare, title sponsor of this year’s Finest Awards, is pleased to invite all San Diego County high school seniors and college students to participate in the 6th Annual HCC/AMN Scholarship Essay Contest. The winner will receive a $2,000 scholarship, courtesy of AMN Healthcare, and will be recognized at the Finest Awards on March 12, 2009.

HCC is proud to support future leaders of health care in San Diego. Students who plan to enter the health care field upon graduation from college are encouraged to enter the contest. Our winner last year was Alice Chung from Mira Mesa High School.

Please announce this exciting opportunity and distribute the attached letter to your qualified and interested students. Please note that all essays and letters of recommendation must be received by January 30, 2009.

The winner will also be recognized in front of many of the health care industry’s leading communications professionals at the Finest Awards on March 12, 2009.
