2009 Educational Partnership Program Undergraduate Scholarship
The two year scholarship is designed to increase the number of students who undertake course work and graduate with degrees in specific scientific areas or fields including oceanic and atmospheric science, research, technology, mathematics, and engineering. The EPP Undergraduate Scholarship Program provides awards that include academic assistance (up to $8,000) for full-time study during each 9-month academic year and two 10-week, full-time internship positions ($650/week) during the summer at a NOAA facility.

2009 NOAA Dr. Nancy Foster Scholarship Program
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Dr. Nancy Foster Scholarship Program recognizes outstanding scholarship and encourages independent graduate level research in oceanography, marine biology and maritime archaeology. For the 2009-2010 academic year, Dr. Nancy Foster Scholarships provide support of up to $32,000: a 12-month stipend of $20,000, in addition to an annual cost-of-education allowance of up to $12,000; and up to $20,000 support for a four to six week research collaboration at a NOAA facility.

2009 NOAA Graduate Sciences Program
The GSP is designed to provide employment opportunities and work experience to qualified graduating seniors and graduate students in engineering, biology, environmental law, socio-economics, mathematics, chemistry, physics, physical science, computer science, geography and geology. The GSP pays for tuition, books, lab fees, a housing allowance at the selected university, travel expenses, and salary during 16 weeks of NOAA work experience per year for each participant at a NOAA research facility.

2009 Summer Environmental Health Research Experience Program
The University of Washington, Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences (DEOHS) is pleased to offer a summer research opportunity for sophomores, juniors and non-graduated seniors who have strong science backgrounds and an interest in environmental health research. 20th Arabidopsis Conference- Minority Funding
The International Conference on Arabidopsis Research is the largest annual international science conference for researchers studying the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana, and for other plant biologists interested in the applications of basic biology of plants. Amgen Scholars Program
The Amgen Scholars Program provides undergraduate research opportunities in science and biotechnology. The program is based at ten host universities nationwide; each host university has its own application process. Selected participants receive a stipend, housing and covered transportation costs. APS Scholarship Program for Minority Undergraduate Physics Majors
The American Physical Society is once again pleased to offer the APS Scholarship Program for Minority Undergraduate Physics Majors. This excellent, highly competitive scholarship program not only provides funding to students, but also a great deal of student support. This scholarship is open to African-American, Hispanic-American, and Native American high school seniors and college freshmen or sophomores who are U.S citizens or permanent residents and are majoring or planning to major in physics, we encourage all eligible students to apply right away. The award includes $2000 for new students, and $3000 for renewal students as well as a local physics mentor and an APS physics mentor.
