Captain Charles Moore has been studying and publicizing the so-called Great Pacific Garbage Patch for the past 10 years.  This stewy body of plastic and marine debris floats an estimated 1,000 miles west of San Francisco and is estimated to weigh 3 million tons, covering an area twice the size of Texas.  Come join us
as Captain Moore discusses his research, findings and theory on how to address this ever growing, “floating landfill”.
