The National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) Scholarship Program

The National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) Scholarship Program is how you can afford an MBA! The 2009 application will be live online from February 1 – April 30, 2009. For eligibility and program guidelines, please visit: www.nshmba.org/fa/

The U.S. Department of Agriculture

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is now accepting applications for the 2009 USDA Public Service Leaders Scholarship Program! This program provides combined scholarship and internship opportunities to college and university students leading to permanent employment with USDA upon completion of their degree. Upon graduation, scholarship recipients become permanent employees of the USDA and must be prepared to work for USDA for one year for each year of educational assistance received. The application deadline is April 27, 2009.

The Bollinger Foundation

The Bollinger Foundation, welcomes nominations of eligible families using our online nomination form. www.bollingerfoundation.org. Nominations can also be mailed or faxed to Corie Ziegler, The Bollinger Foundation, c/o IEDC, 734 15th St., NW, Suite 900, Washington, DC 20005, (202) 223-4745.

The deadline for nominations is May 15, 2009.

Transart Institute: Ten Scholarships in International MFA Program

Six scholarships of $12,000 each have become available to students from Eastern Europe and developing countries and four scholarships of $3,000 each to students from anywhere to participate in Transart Institute’s international MFA program. An application form to the program is online:

Scholarships are given on the basis of artistic merit and financial need to artists of all media and genres. The majority of Transart students are emerging and mid-career artists and teachers at tertiary institutions.

The deadline for scholarship applications is May 1, 2009; the final application deadline to the program for 2009 without scholarships is June 1st.

Rosetta Stone: Communicate and Connect

The Rosetta Stone Communicate and Connect Scholarship invites high school seniors that have learned English as a Second Language to write about discovering the world of possibilities that learning the English language opened up to them. Sample essay topics include how learning English enabled excellence in other courses, such as mathematics or science; a personal memoir about how getting cast in a play because of English-speaking abilities awakened a desire to perform and to create; and an examination of how learning English transformed your perspective of life in the United States. Maximum award: $3,000 scholarship for continuing education purposes. Eligibility: high school seniors graduating in spring of 2009 that learned English as a second language.
