Summer Internship Program in San Diego
The department of chemistry at Celgene is offering three full time summer internship positions. We are seeking undergraduate students who are majoring in chemistry and have taken coursework in organic chemistry. The program will last 10 weeks and includes a $3000 stipend.
Interns will have the opportunity to learn/practice common laboratory techniques used in organic synthesis, learn about the basics of medicinal chemistry, use state of the art instrumentation, and collaborate with other chemists in a friendly environment.
Program Requirements:
o Undergraduate student majoring in chemistry
o Successful completion of organic chemistry coursework (lecture and lab)
o Submission of application (includes a personal statement and references)
o Commitment of 30 hrs/week for 10 weeks (2 choices):
o June 15, 2009 to August 21, 2009 (10 weeks)
o June 29, 2009 to September 4, 2009 (10 weeks)
o Poster presentation on August 21, 2009
