BAE Systems summer internships

BAE Systems is looking for 2 Junior or Senior Computer Science majors and/or minors for summer internships in Software Engineering at BAE Systems in Rancho Bernardo.  Please email Angeline Yang ayang@projects.sdsu.edu, your resume as soon as possible. This position may lead to a full time position at BAE Systems after graduation.  Hourly wages are very competitive.

Here is information about the internship:

The Software Engineer will perform the day to day duties of the task assigned which may include software development, topic research, office automation projects and documentation efforts for existing systems. They will have a direct report, usually the tech lead on the project and are expected to provide support to their assigned tasks. Tasks will be assigned based on skill and experience level and will be scoped for completion. The engineer will be responsible for providing a periodic status report of activities and a final report of all work performed.

Requirements:

§         Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Math with a minor in Computer Science

Skills/Coursework we are looking for:

§         Design, code, and unit test

§         High level languages such as C++ or Java

§         UNIX and/or Windows

§         Requirements analysis, design and development methodologies and tools

§         GUI’s including X-Windows, Motif, Sunview, UIM/X, MS Visual Studio

§         Algorithm development

§         Data Structures

§         Compiler construction

§         Relational databases such as Oracle, Sybase, Informix

§         Good communications and team work skills
