San Diego Science & Engineering Festival EXPO Day

Now in its seventh year, the San Diego Festival of Science & Engineering involves hundreds of businesses, corporations, sponsors, and nonprofits in a week-long celebration of STEM education in San Diego County. EXPO Day at Petco Park is the Festival’s culminating event with over 130 local businesses, corporations, and organizations providing interactive, hands-on activities showcasing STEM from all parts of Southern California. In 2014, more than 24,000 children, parents, and STEM enthusiasts attended EXPO Day, and over 60,000 people participated in festival week events. The event resounds excitement throughout the San Diego community and draws media attention.

  • Visit MESA’s booth (in collaboration with the Center for Sensorimotor Neural Engineering Research Center – CSNE) to build prosthetic fingers out of straws and other everyday items!  We’ll be at RF1 (labeled CSNE).
