UNIVERSITYLINK MEDICAL SCIENCE PROGRAM—SUMMER 2009
A four-week summer residential program hosted within the medical school at UCSD for community college students who are premed, pre-dental, pre-pharmacy, pre-nursing or interested in any other allied health professions as well as biomedical science research.
$2,340 stipend/student is provided to cover cost of room/board and summer activities.Program activities include individualized mentoring,health career counseling, admission test preparation courses, study and time management skills workshop, health-related internship opportunities and informal meetings & social events with medical students.
Eligibility Criteria:
- UniversityLink and TAG students interested in the health sciences.
- Completed a minimum of one semester at the community college;
- Be enrolled in a minimum of 12.0 semester units during the spring
semester; - 2.80 or higher GPA
