Paid research opportunities for Spring and Summer 2012

SDSU is a partner with University of Washington and MIT for the new Engineering Research Center (ERC) in Sensori Motor Neural Engineering (CSNE).

We have a few opportunities for SDSU MEP/MSP students to gain paid research experience (spring and summer 12) and to share that experience with pre-college students (outreach).

1. Spring 12 Research and Outreach – at SDSU
a. Undergraduate Students gain research experience in faculty labs at SDSU
b. Earn $1500 Stipend
c. Undergraduate Students outreach to middle and high school students exposing them to the projects they are working on
d. Participate on vertical mentoring teams being mentored by graduate students and faculty and providing mentoring to pre-college students
research&outreach – at SDSU ERC

2. Summer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) – at University of Washington
a. SDSU Undergraduate Students conduct research over 10 weeks
b. Earn $5000 stipend
c. Live on campus at University of Washington in the summer
d. One MEP/MSP student from SDSU will be selected for this program (must apply using the REU application attached)

If you are interested in either of these opportunities please complete the appropriate application by the specified deadline. A student may apply for both opportunities.
