We currently waste more energy than we use. CALPIRG’s Energy Service Corps is working towards ending our energy crisis by increasing efficiency across California through education and service.

This year alone we will be educating over 30,000 kids about energy efficiency and knocking on 7,500 doors to give residents tips to reduce their energy use and save money right away.

As a student AmeriCorps Member, you’ll learn valuable leadership skills while making a real impact – from teaching children about energy to weatherizing community buildings. Members forge partnerships with community groups, meet with local officials, contact the media about energy efficiency and more.  Members receive a $1,208 education award at the end of their term of service.
