Our client, a local San Diego company that specializes in RF and antenna systems, also an award winning company within the wireless device industry, is adding an RF Engineer to their growing team.
The RF Engineer/Antenna Design Engineer will be responsible for designing the antennas and RF blocks for complex handheld devices. The RF Engineer will also be involved in and have input to some of the project planning.
The RF Engineer/Antenna Design Engineer will be in charge of the antenna design, as well as the design and documentation for manufacturing of different antenna and RF solutions. The RF solutions are for implementation in a mobile device.
The RF Engineer/Antenna Design Engineer should have the ability to coordinate antenna design in specific projects and be able to understand theoretical and practical aspects.
The RF Engineer/Antenna Design Engineer will also be expected to follow and develop the process and expand technical leadership in RF/antenna systems.

Requirements:
The RF Engineer/Antenna Design must have at least a Bachelors degree in engineering and at least 2 years of experience in RF and/or antenna design for mobile devices, or similar (i.e. blue tooth, wifi, etc.). Looking for an RF/Antenna Design Engineer with 3-5 years of experience overall.
The RF Engineer/Antenna Design Engineer should have the ability to analyze the design tools and improve their use for highest efficiency and best design results, as well as design and develop prototypes and verification tests for electrical components used in the reception and transmission of RF (Radio Frequency) signals. The RF Engineer will also work closely with customers in applying electrical engineering principals to develop new antenna designs and will also approve specific designs for production.
The RF Engineer/Antenna Design Engineer should have knowledge of telecommunication devices and aspects (RF, EMC, ESD protection, high-speed interconnect; RF and high density layout) and knowledge of manufacturing processes, too.
