Renewable energy summit begins Wednesday

Representatives of the many different agencies, businesses involved in renewable energy are slated to speak at the sixth annual Imperial Valley Renewable Energy Summit, set for Wednesday through Friday.

Michael Picker, senior adviser to Gov. Jerry Brown for Renewable Energy Facilities, will deliver the keynote speech. Picker was involved in the authorization of 150 clean energy projects over the last four years.

Additionally, the summit will feature an exposition area for vendors and developers.

20 Imperial Valley MESA students are set to attend on the sessions on Friday, March 15, 2013.
