San Diego MESA Alliance awarded $3,500 as part of SDG&E’s Energy Solutions Partners Network

San Diego, CA – The San Diego Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement (MESA) Alliance has been awarded $3,500 from San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) as part of their Energy Solutions Partners Network.  The partnership entails providing important energy-savings messages as well as to help promote solutions – programs, services and tools – to some of the county’s most diverse, and often times, hard to reach households and businesses.

The San Diego MESA Alliance (SDMA), established in 2000, is a statewide model for intersegmental regional collaboration in mathematics, engineering and science education for economically disadvantaged and underrepresented student populations. The Alliance mission is to have a collaborative effort in enhancing the pipeline of MESA programs in San Diego County. The Alliance goals are to establish best practices, strategic partnerships, effective coordination of services and development of core curriculum for MESA programs.
