The short of it is that this is a really neat and well-paid opportunity for undergraduates students to gain experience in their field and make quick money. It’s also a good chance for teaching faculty to do the same. They have sites in San Diego, or you can go somewhere exotic (like Baltimore or Rhode Island … or Hawaii) for 3 weeks and stay in a dorm (single).
