HACU Scholarship Program

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is accepting online applications for the HACU Scholarship Program until Friday, May 28, 2010.

More than $250,000 will be awarded to eligible students attending HACU-member institutions during the 2010-2011 academic year.

SPAWAR Teaching Opportunity

If you are interested in teaching, we have an opportunity for you!. Work with SPAWAR in developing projects and teaching kids K-12 science and engineering concepts.

This is a summer internship with flexible hours.

Students in MESA/NSF/SPSD/MEP/MSP are eligible for an NSF Stipend of $1,250 for 100 hours of work. All other interested students may volunteer without pay to do this.

SDSU Student Recruitment Assistant (SRA) Team

SRAs independently manage an assigned local territory of high schools, representing SDSU by providing presentations and information to students, counselors and parents. They prepare and arrange their own presentations, appointments and meetings. Additional duties include assisting in the office and preparing for admission events, such as Explore SDSU and a CSU Counselor Conference. Each SRA walks away with a whole new world of transferable skills under their belt at the end of the year.

US Air Force Technical Degree Sponsorship

Qualified applicants will be brought onto active duty status and while finishing their degree they will receive a salary, housing allowance, food monies, free medical/dental benefits and are issued an active duty military ID card which will allow access to military installations (shopping, gas, groceries, gym, etc). (If the applicant is married, their spouse/children will also receive these benefits too.) And once they have graduated with their degree they will be scheduled to attend the AF Basic Officer Training School and at graduation become a commissioned officer!

The Health Fair offers FREE:
– Clinical Breast Exams and Mammograms
(For women who qualify 40 years and older, low income,
and uninsured or under-insured).
– Other Health Screenings such as Cholesterol, blood glucose, HIV/AIDS,
and more!!!

‘One in a Million’ Scholarship Contest

The contest invites all currently enrolled college students in California to tell our state’s leaders why they are one in a million and why policymakers should support college opportunity to help them reach their college dream. A minimum of 20 scholarships ranging from $500 to $1,000 will be awarded to students across the state through a generous grant from the College Access Foundation.
