Sixth Annual Space Day

The Museum’s Space Galleries are open for viewing throughout the event, including a flown Apollo spacecraft, moon rocks and space suits, and numerous day activities will be available for all to enjoy.

Brazilian Research Partnerships

This program has two main goals: (1) establish viable research collaborations between US and Brazilian graduate students and their respective thesis advisors; and (2) offer project leadership training for young researchers in both countries. The Materials Research Institute will work with the Materials Research Society of Brazil to match US students with Brazilian counterparts at research instituions near Rio de Janiero.

OPEN TRAVEL PROGRAM

Southwest Airlines, in conjunction with the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU), announced today the opening of “Dándole Alas a Tu Éxito/Giving Flight to Your Success,” its annual education travel award program. A panel of judges comprised of college professors and education advocates from coast to coast will gather in the summer to select the students who will receive free travel to their colleges and universities.

Student Trainee Webmaster

Space and Naval Warfare Center Systems Center, Pacific (SSCPAC), is seeking a student trainee to work as a webmaster. The student would be hired under the Student Career Experience Program (SCEP), which could lead to a full-time, permanent position upon the student’s graduation.
