Purdue Summer Research Opportunities Program (SROP)

The Purdue University Graduate School is now accepting applications for the 2013 Summer Research Opportunities program (SROP). The program will be June 2 to July 30, 2013.

SROP encourages talented undergraduate students from social and economic backgrounds that are underrepresented in research careers to pursue graduate education, and to enhance their preparation for graduate study. This program involves intensive research experiences with faculty mentors. All qualified students, including but not limited to African American, Asian American, Hispanic American, and Native American, are encouraged to apply.

SDSU Fulbright Information Sessions

In the past few years 50 SDSU students have received US Student Fulbright grants. Spring is the time to start thinking about an application. Undergraduates must finish that degree by August 2014 to be eligible for grants for 2014-15. Grad students and alumni may also apply at any point prior to award of the PhD. Fulbright sends about 1,700 students to more than 150 countries around the world. SDSU applications will be due Sept. 23, 2013 for grants for 2014-15. Students may apply to study/research or be an English Teaching Assistant.
