The new Title 24 will take effect on January 1, 2014, and will affect lighting retrofits more than any previous version. In the past Title 24 was mainly for new construction and remodels, but the new version treats retrofitting essentially the same as new construction and remodels.
LED hibays coming of age
LED hibays can be very competitive to the best fluorescent and electronically ballasted ceramic metal halide hibays. LED hibays, however, need certain pricing, CRI, optical control, lumens, wattage, lumens per watt, rated life and warranty to compete with other technologies.
