California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education

California State University, San Marcos (CSUSM) on Saturday, April 25th, 2009.

The Forum is an all-day program designed to acquaint students from underrepresented groups with the academic and career opportunities associated with advanced study in a wide range of disciplines. Students will have the opportunity to meet representatives of the nation’s leading graduate schools offering Master’s and Ph.D. degrees and to attend workshops and panel sessions. They will also be provided free lunch and the opportunity to receive free access to the Princeton Review’s GRE on-line prep course (a $500 value).

There is no charge to students to attend and free bus transportation is provided. Registration, transportation, and lunch is free for students who attend! However, we do ask that your campus coordinate the chartering of buses and/or vans to transport your students to CSUSM. The Forum will reimburse your campus for the expenses incurred for the chartering services.

For your convenience, the Forum has developed a website which will contain sample invitations, sample registration forms, suggestions for recruiting students, sample confirmation materials, details for reimbursement of the chartering services and much more. To access the website you will go to: http://www.ucop.edu/acadadv/forum-for-diversity/information/campus-contact-info.htm

You will receive a small box of brochures (sample enclosed) within the next couple of days to assist in your recruitment efforts. If you find you will need additional brochures, please feel free to contact any one of the committee members listed below to have more mailed to you.
