We Are STEM Day

(Formerly titled Girl’s Day)

On February 25, 2016, middle and high school female students from MESA programs in San Diego County will have the opportunity to shadow SDSU female students for the day and meet with female SDSU alumni in STEM fields from SDG&E, SPAWAR, and other professionals in STEM.

This will give middle and/or high school students an idea of what it’s like to be a student on a college campus and career pathways.

SDSU female students and alumni are needed to show a high school student the campus, their departments/labs, and take the student to sit through at least one lecture course.  Female professionals in STEM are needed to take part in a panel to share personal experiences and career pathways.

MESA is in need of 4 female engineering undergrads to act as guides or panelist for Thursday, Feb 25th. As a reminder, MESA will host a “WE ARE STEM” female experience for middle school girls. This event was included in the MESA Mondays but we’re still in need of volunteers.
We need volunteers to be a:
Guide from 9:00-10:00am (3 persons) Or Panelist from 12-1:30 pm (1 person)

Contact Natasha Celise for more information and/or to volunteer.
