MIT Summer Research Program (MSRP)

The Office of the Dean for Graduate Education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology will host its annual MIT Summer Research Program (MSRP) from June 5 – August 6, 2011

MSRP, an institutional effort that began in 1986, facilitates the involvement of talented undergraduate students in research aspects of the fields of engineering and science—particularly those who are underrepresented in these fields.

4th annual SDSU Student Research Symposium

The Student Research Symposium is a two-day event to recognize the outstanding scholarly accomplishments of SDSU students. The SRS provides a public forum where SDSU students present their research, scholarship, or creative activities. Presentations, oral or poster, are organized by academic disciplines with divisions for undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students.

Student Versus Industry Science Bowl Challenge

Student Versus Industry Science Bowl Challenge will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 from 6-8pm in the Lincoln High Library. This event is to help prepare the Lincoln High student teams for its regional competition sponsored by the National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE).

Website/administrative assistant

Student will assist with new College website, which is under construction using a content-management system, by posting information to the website, producing and improving photographs for the website, producing graphics and generally trouble-shooting and improving layout of website information. A basic working knowledge of HTML would be helpful, but is not required. Experience working with websites/graphics design on some level is required.

Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program (NREIP)

The Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program (NREIP) is a ten week summer research opportunity for undergraduate Juniors & Seniors, and Graduate students, under the guidance of a mentor, at a participating Navy Laboratory. The stipend amounts for the program are $7,690 for undergraduate students and $10,250 for graduate students.

Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP)

The California Space Grant Consortium is pleased to announce the second year of its Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) for students studying Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Students will receive between $1,500 and $2,000 to conduct research projects on your campuses. Thirty to forty California students will receive awards.
