CUR – Registry of Undergraduate Researchers

The Council on Undergraduate Research hosts a Registry of Undergraduate Researchers. The purpose of this registry is to facilitate matchmaking between undergraduates who have research experience and a desire to pursue an advanced degree, with graduate schools seeking high quality students who are well prepared for research. The Registry is open to students and graduate schools in the fields of Anthropology/Archaeology, Arts/Humanities, Biology/Biochemistry, Business, Chemistry/Biochemistry, Economics, Education, Engineering, English and Linguistics, Environmental Studies, Geosciences, Health Professions, History, Journalism and Communications, Mathematics/Computer Science, Physics/ Astronomy, Political Science, Psychology, Social Work and Sociology.

REACH (Recruitment of Engineering Achievers) program

We are pleased to announce our REACH (Recruitment of Engineering Achievers) program taking place October 25 & 26, 2012 on the USC campus in Los Angeles. Please note that the application deadline is Friday, September 14, 2012 .

REACH is a unique opportunity for talented students to visit our campus to learn more about engineering PhD programs at USC. Travel stipends will be offered to qualified students on a competitive basis. Historically underrepresented students in the STEM fields are highly encouraged to apply for this opportunity.

Virtual Biomedical Graduate School Fair

The graduate school has joined approximately 20 biomedical graduate programs across the country in the first ever virtual biomedical graduate school fair and we need help in getting the word out to any students who might be thinking of applying to graduate school. It is free and happening on two days – September 12th and October 25th.

UCSD Edge

UCSD Edge is a graduate recruitment day for UC San Diego. Similar to the UC Edge: University of California Recruitment Day, UCSD Edge is an all-day event for underrepresented undergraduates who are engaged in a faculty-mentored research program (CEA-CREST, MBRS-RISE, BRIDGES, MARC, HHMI, UC LEADS, IMSD, McNair, etc.). UCSD Edge is also open to master’s students seeking advancement to PhD programs. There will be a series of workshops to introduce resources available to meet graduate students needs and concerns. Additionally, participants will have exclusive interaction with faculty, graduate students, and staff from an academic departments of their choice to learn about the graduate opportunities within the University of California, San Diego.
