Great Minds in STEM – the HENAAC Scholars Program

The goals of our scholarship program are to ensure and increase college retention of students with a 3.0 grade point average or higher; guarantee college graduation with an undergraduate technical degree in four-five years; and, to contribute to Hispanic communities by producing role models for future generations; all the while securing the country’s place as the finest technological leader in the world.

SDSU MBRS IMSD Program

The SDSU Minority Biomedical Research Support (MBRS)-Intitiative for Maximizing Student Development (IMSD) Program is an intensive undergraduate research training program which prepares students for direct entry into biomedical or behavioral Ph.D. programs. In 2008, the MBRS IMSD Program was awarded a new 4-year grant from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), to continue supporting undergraduates.

MIT Summer Research Program

MSRP, an institutional effort that began in 1986, facilitates the involvement of talented undergraduate students in research aspects of the fields of engineering and science-particularly those who are underrepresented in these fields. This summer program seeks to identify talented sophomores, juniors and non-graduating seniors from around the country who could benefit from spending a summer on MIT’s campus, working in a research laboratory under the guidance of experienced scientists and engineers.
