ACEC ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP

The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) offers four scholarships each year to college students pursuing a degree in engineering. To be eligible, students must be either in their junior, senior, fifth, or graduate year in an engineering program in fall 2012.

Fulbright Scholar Opportunities

The 2012-2013 Fulbright Scholar Program competition is open.
The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program offers 155 teaching, research or combined teaching/research awards in education. Faculty and professionals in education also can apply for “All Discipline” awards open to all fields.

Post-baccalaureate Research and Education Program (PREP) at the University of New Mexico

The Post-baccalaureate Research and Education Program (PREP) at the University of New Mexico, under the
direction of Dr. Richard Cripps, is currently recruiting nationwide and accepting applications for the 2011-2012 cohort. PREP is a National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded program designed to enhance the ability of
underrepresented minority post-baccalaureate students in the biomedical sciences to gain entry to, and succeed in, nationally-recognized Ph.D. programs.

18th Annual Conference of The Wildlife Society

The Wildlife Society (TWS) and the Native Peoples Wildlife Management Working Group (NPWG) of The Wildlife Society, the 2011 Native American Professional Development Grants Program. This years grants program is a competitive program available to all Native American, Alaska Natives, First Nations, native Hawaiian or indigenous tribal students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program studying natural resources or natural resource management.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund/ExxonMobil Scholarship

HSF, and ExxonMobil have partnered to provide financial assistance to outstanding Latino engineering students. This $2,500 (max each) scholarship offer is open to undergraduate students who will be enrolled full-time during the 2011-2012 academic year and be entering as a sophomore, junior, or senior and who attend and are majoring in one of the following majors:

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Public Service Leaders Scholarship Program provides combined scholarship and internship opportunities to undergraduate and graduate students leading to permanent employment upon completion of their degree. ExxonMobil, one of the world’s largest publically traded International oil & gas companies, has partnered with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) to create fellowships in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) for Hispanic college students.
