A four-week summer residential program (June 24, 2012 – July 21, 2012) hosted within the medical school at UCSD for community college students who are
interested in health professions as well as biomedical science research. $2,340 stipend per student is provided to cover cost of room/board and taxes.
Program activities include individualized mentoring, health career counseling, admission test preparation courses, study and time management skills workshop, health-related internship opportunities and informal meetings and social events with medical students.

The American Physical Society and IBM co-sponsor a research internship program for undergraduate women. The goal is to encourage women students to pursue graduate studies in science and engineering.

The position involves approximately 20 hours per week and include job duties such as AutoCAD drafting, engineering calculations, and occasional administrative duties. You should be a sophomore, have computer experience, AutoCAD experience is a plus, and a good driving record.
